This week, the long-awaited sales of the Google Pixel 6a, the youngest and most affordable Google phone on the Tensor chip, will start. After getting his copy of the novelty, the author of the PBKreviews channel, who specializes in disassembling devices, was surprised to find dirt inside the sealed box. Because of it, scuffs appeared on the cover and the camera block, but, fortunately, the display was not damaged. The disassembly process itself is notable for an unusual sequence: to get to the filling, instead of the cover, you should remove the screen. And it is important to do this with caution so as not to damage the cable.

A lot of copper foil was found inside, and some of the 17 connecting bolts are of different sizes, which is why it is better not to mix them during the disassembly process. The battery is much easier to remove than in the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, and the power connector, alas, is soldered to the motherboard, which will complicate its replacement. Curiously, a seat for a wireless charging coil was found under the cover, which, apparently, they decided to remove as a result for the sake of cheapness. In the end, the author gave the repairability of the Pixel 6a a 7 out of 10.
