The recent Google I / O conference was marked not only by the announcement of several new products, but also by the first teasers of the company’s main devices for 2022 – Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. So far, we have received quite a bit of information: the design and promise of the second generation of the Google Tensor chipset. And now this topic was continued by the Korean blog Naver. According to the source, the production of Google Pixel Gen 2 (why not?) will start in June. It will be a 4nm solution implemented using the PLP (Panel Level Packaging) method, which will reduce production costs and increase productivity. Samsung also supplies Google with DRAM and NAND Flash memory.

The publication did not provide any specifics on the composition of the second generation Google Tensor. It is expected that we are waiting for an upgrade of last year’s structure, which used three groups of cores: Cortex-X1, Cortex-A76 and Cortex-A55. Naturally, the system of artificial intelligence and machine learning will be updated. Google itself has set its targets as follows: photo/video, security, voice recognition.
