PrivatBank starts paying assistance to socially vulnerable Ukrainians as part of a new joint project of the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Ministry of Social Policy. Under the terms of the project, the Red Cross will provide financial assistance to low-income families from affected communities.
The allowance is 2500 UAH per person per month, the duration of the program is 3 months. The funds will be transferred directly to the head of the household: by transferring PrivatMoney to a bank card of a Ukrainian bank registered with the Ministry of Social Policy.
If the recipient does not have a registered bank card, assistance can be obtained at a branch of PrivatBank or by calling 3700 – to a PrivatBank card, indicating it upon receipt or in cash.
There is no need to register for the program – beneficiaries whose phone number is available will be informed about enrollment in the program via SMS messages from the Red Cross. Assistance will be provided to families with official low-income status, registered with the Ministry of Social Policy and living in one of the communities affected by the armed conflict until February 24, 2022 (regardless of whether this family left or remained in the community).
Among the regions where assistance will be provided to affected communities are Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporozhye, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson and Chernihiv regions.
