The research company IDC continues to delight us with reports on the most popular gadget models on the world market. We’ve previously looked at the five hottest smartphones and tablets in the first quarter of 2022, and now it’s time to talk about watches, the market of which is actively changing from the release of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 to Wear OS by Google. By the way, it was they who broke into the top of the list, taking the third (Watch 4) and fourth (Watch 4 Classic) positions. The leader is expected to be the current Apple Watch Series 7, followed immediately by the affordable Apple Watch SE . Rounding out the top five is the almost legendary Apple Watch 3 (2017), which the company has been selling for almost five years as an inexpensive alternative to more advanced models.
By the way, Apple watches account for more than half (51.2%) of all shipments in the first quarter of 2022. It is followed by Samsung with a share of 18.9%, Garmin with 7.2% and Huawei with 4.5%. Concludes the top five Fitbit leaders, which has every chance to rise in the rankings in the near future, because the company plans to introduce Wear OS in premium watch models.
