Todd Howard announced Fallout 5 - the continuation of the post-apocalyptic series will appear after The Elder Scrolls 6

Bethesda Game Studios creative director Todd Howard said in a recent interview that the company has plans for Fallout 5. However, fans of the Fallout series should be patient, as the game will not be released very soon.

First, the company has yet to release Starfield , which has been pushed back from November of this year to 2023. Secondly, another big project is still “in preparation” (6 years after the announcement ) – The Elder Scrolls 6. The exact release dates have not yet been announced, only 2027 was tentatively mentioned. And only after that we should expect the appearance of Fallout 5. Considering that Bethesda spends about 5 years developing its big games, Fallout 5 can be expected no earlier than in 10 years.

“Yes, Elder Scrolls 6 is in pre-production, and you know, after that we’re going to make Fallout 5, so our list is pretty full for a while. We have other projects that we review from time to time, but they take time. I want them to come out faster, I really do. We try our best, but we want them to be the best they can be for everyone,” said Todd Howard.

The last single-player game in the Fallout series, Fallout 4, was released in 2015. Then in 2018, the multiplayer game Fallout 76 came out.
