Now Vodafone customers can port their number from SIM to eSIM remotely, even when they are abroad. The new feature will help if the card is lost or you need to change its format.
Before using the service, you should check if the device supports eSIM technology (the current list of devices that support eSIM is at the link ). To change the card format to eSIM, you need to purchase a special voucher on the Vodafone website. You can apply for a replacement in the My Vodafone app: section Services // Services available // SIM card operations // SIM card replacement or by calling +380500400222. A Vodafone employee will call shortly to complete the replacement process.
The procedure for replacing a lost card with an eSIM is somewhat different. After checking compatibility, you need to purchase a special voucher on the Vodafone website and call +380500400222. Calls are accepted both from Ukrainian numbers and from numbers of foreign operators, a call to this number in roaming with Vodafone is not charged. Clients must go through identification, provide information from the purchased voucher and provide personal data: full name and number of an identity document.
The number is transferred to a new eSIM card within 4 business hours after the application is submitted. The subscriber needs to activate the eSIM profile in the device according to the instructions on the voucher. The status of the current account, tariff plan and all connected services at the time of replacing the SIM card will be automatically transferred to the new eSIM.
