New The Lord of the Rings: Gollum gameplay trailer showcases new locations and familiar characters

During the Nacon Connect event, the developers showed a new gameplay trailer for The Lord of the Rings: Gollum. It shows some of the locations that players will have to overcome in search of their Precious.

The new trailer doesn’t reveal too much of the plot, but shows more of the game’s world than previously shown. In it you can see forests, dark dungeons and gloomy caves through which Gollum must make his way. The trailer also features some of the iconic characters from The Lord of the Rings, including the wizard Gandalf the Grey.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum takes place during the events of the first parts of The Fellowship of the Ring. The player controls Gollum as he attempts to retrieve the Ring of Omnipotence. The developers have included the ability to side with Gollum or Smeagol, which will affect how certain interactions play out in the game.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will release on September 1st on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will be released on September 1 – the day before the premiere of the series “The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power”
