From July, Google was supposed to block all users who did not switch to a paid subscription (from $5 to $18 per month for each account), but they will make an exception for small and medium Ukrainian businesses. The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine has agreed with Google to maintain free access for Ukrainian entrepreneurs.
These Google services will remain free for Ukrainian business, at least until the end of the full-scale war and the victory of the Ukrainian people over the Russian occupiers.
Google Workspace (formerly G Suite and Google Apps for Work or Google Apps for Your Domain) is a subscription-based suite of dedicated cloud software and collaboration tools from Google. It is a direct competitor to Microsoft Office.
Google Workspace includes the core Google web apps such as Gmail, Contacts, Calendar, Meet, and Chat for communication, as well as the Google Docs suite for content creation and Drive for storing them. In 2020, Google carried out a large-scale rebranding with the renaming of the package to Workspace. At the beginning of the year, Google launched a free Workspace plan for business with an incomplete package of features – Essentials Starter.
