Well, the long-awaited Nothing Phone (1) has been officially presented. During a very specific presentation, Carl Pei revealed the main advantages of the model, namely: functional diodes for ringtones, various notifications and other interesting functionality that will be replenished, light weight (193.5 g), balanced hardware and thoughtful camera. As a basis, as already revealed earlier, served Snapdragon 778G +, which the leaders of Nothing call the time-tested balanced solution. It was supplemented with LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1 memory, a 120 Hz AMOLED screen (variable refresh rate from 60 Hz) and Android 12 with Nothing OS, the main advantage of which is “transparency” (as close as possible to bare Android).

Continuing the theme of “hardware”, the said chipset made it possible to implement access to all relevant wireless connection technologies, including 5G, Wi-Fi 6 and NFC. There is a smartphone and stereo speakers. Nothing Phone (1) is powered by a 4500 mAh battery that can be charged both wired (33 W) and wirelessly (15 W). Their own Nothing Ear headphones (1) with a similar translucent design can be charged with a 5-watt reverse. By the way, one of the functions of the diodes mentioned above is a spectacular backlight in the headphone charging scenario. A kind of Chinese dock.

The camera deserves special attention. To Nothing’s credit, the company did not add cameras for quantity, but provided only two lenses of 50 megapixels each. The Sony IMX766 main module received a combination of optical and electronic stabilization, f / 1.88 aperture, and the width even boasts autofocus, which allows it to take pictures in macro mode (minimum focal length 4 cm). Video writes in 4K at 30 frames per second (60 frames are not available due to the class of the chipset). Front camera – 16-megapixel Sony IMX471. Inscribed in the hole on the left.

Nothing Phone (1) will go on sale in pilot mode this week, July 16th. On this day, a limited batch of gadgets in black and white will be available. In total, the company has provided three configuration options: 8/128, 8/256 and 12/256 GB. Prices in Europe start at 469 euros. The package does not include the charger unit. You can buy a block for 35 euros. Headphones Nothing Ear (1), recall, was priced at 99 euros.
