We will help raise UAH 300,000 for equipment for the 113th brigade, which is fighting in the Kharkiv region (updated: UAH 156,000 left to collect)

In early April, Ukrposhta, after a 21-year break, resumed the delivery of items by rail. In just three months, 718 flights were performed and their number grew every month, and most of all in June – by 55% compared to April. Also, the number of parcels delivered increased by 55% – from 477,000 parcels in April to 741,000 parcels in June.

“The joint project of Ukrposhta and Ukrzaliznytsia is showing its effectiveness. For three months of cooperation, 2 million items have already been delivered to their addressees. In addition, this delivery channel has also accelerated the flow of humanitarian supplies to Kharkiv, where the situation is now difficult, and the Dnieper, where many migrants from the war zone end up. In addition, it was also used for the relocation of enterprises from the eastern regions. I am grateful to colleagues from Ukrzaliznytsia and our team for well-coordinated work,”

Igor Smelyansky,

CEO of Ukrposhta

Currently, 11 wagons deliver mail from 6 cities of Ukraine – Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Odessa, Kharkov and Dnipro to Kyiv and back. During this period, more parcels arrived in Kyiv from Lviv and Kharkov – this is 28%, and from Kyiv – to Lviv, Dnipro, Kharkov, which accounted for 31% of the total number of parcels.

You can address the parcel to any locality where the Ukrposhta branch operates. The operator delivers the goods delivered by rail to the final destination by main trucks.

The railway mail also delivers humanitarian goods, for which a special tariff applies. The cost of one shipment weighing up to 30 kg and with a long side up to 70 cm is 25 UAH. This is the minimum cost that will be spent on the preparation and maintenance of the mail car. Parcels are accepted only in those offices located near the central railway stations. From April 9, humanitarian cargo can be issued for departure from Lviv (department 79023), Kyiv (department 02505), Dnipro (department 49501), Odessa (department 65501) and Kharkov (department 61501). Or arrange a shipment in the “personal account” on the website of “Ukrposhta”.

If volunteers are not yet able to pay for the cost of packages, the shipment will be accepted free of charge before dispatch, and the cost of delivery will be covered by charitable funds. The period of storage of the parcel in the city is up to 14 days. After that, if the recipient did not pick up the parcels, Ukrposhta transfers them to volunteer organizations and foundations.

From July 1, Ukrposhta is reviewing tariffs, returning to the pre-war work schedule and the delivery of bulky parcels
