Warner Bros. In a short tweet, she announced the start of filming of the second part of Denis Villeneuve’s fantastic epic Dune, posting the first photo from the set with a clapperboard and a synopsis of the film.
The sequel is being developed by the same team as the first film, including director Denis Villeneuve, cinematographer Greg Fraser and composer Hans Zimmer. Filming is planned in Budapest, Abu Dhabi, Jordan and Italy.

Almost all the main actors of the first film will return to their roles – Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya and Javier Bardem. There will also be several new additions to the cast – Christopher Walken will play the emperor, Austin Butler will appear as Fade-Raut Harkonnen, Florence Pugh will play the role of Princess Irulan, and Lea Seydoux will play Lady Margot.
As for the plot, earlier Villeneuve said that he wants to make the main character the character of Chani, performed by Zendaya. And the official synopsis indirectly confirms this:
“The second part of this film will follow the exciting journey of Paul Atreides, during which he will team up with Chani and the Fremen a tribe of people in the universe of Dune and goes on the warpath to take revenge on the conspirators who destroyed his family.
