How the one-stick wonders became the ultimate lazy woman’s make-up hack

Now that we’re back out in the real world, I want make-up products that save me time. Enter: lip and cheek duos. Not only are they space-savers in my handbag, there’s something about the same tone on lips and cheeks that looks so chic. They’ve come a long way – and about time, too. I remember years ago they would either be the wrong texture for cheeks, yet great on the pout, or a good blush that just looked powdery and pale on the lips.

One product I haven’t been without for the past month is Blush Divine Radiant Lip & Cheek Colour by Rose Inc. Founded by model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, this brand’s blushers are jaw-droppingly good. The cream formula is so rich and pigmented – and so luxurious for the price point (refills are just £14 each from Space NK). I’ve been wearing the warm raspberry shade, Azalea, on repeat and it gives the ‘just in from the cold’ glow on the cheeks and enough of a punch of colour on the lips.

Next up is – in my opinion – Bobbi Brown’s best product yet in her Jones Road collection. The Lip and Cheek Stick, which comes in eight skin-flattering shades, is so easy to scribble on the cheeks and pat on the lips. I love the shade Rosy Brown, which adds just a hint of colour for everyday wear, much like the beautiful Cheeky Posh stick in Miniskirt by Victoria Beckham. Quite apart from the fabulous name, this subtle shade suits everyone.
