The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine terminated another cooperation agreement with Russia. This time in the field of fisheries.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a resolution “On the denunciation of the Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the Russian Federation on cooperation in the field of fisheries”.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
It is noted that the war of Russia against Ukraine radically changed the scope of obligations to be fulfilled in accordance with the agreement of September 24, 1992 between the Governments of Ukraine and Russia on cooperation in the field of fisheries.
In such conditions, the goals stipulated by the agreement, in particular in terms of measures for the management of marine living resources, within economic zones and the continental shelf, rejected by the aggressor state, and the tools to achieve them cannot be implemented in the future.
Recall that the Cabinet of Ministers, by its decision , agreed on a bill on the denunciation of the agreement between the governments of Ukraine and Russia on the avoidance of double taxation of income and property and the prevention of tax evasion.
Recall that the Cabinet of Ministers also allocated more than UAH 119 billion to the Ministry of Defense at a meeting on April 29, which will be used for salaries, equipment and other needs.
