In Lisichansk (Luhansk region), Russian invaders on Tuesday, May 3, fired at the historic building of the TB dispensary.
The Belgian architectural ensemble in Lysychansk survived two world wars and the battle for the city in 2014.
This was told by the head of the Luhansk police department Sergei Gaidai.
“The super-old building of the Belgian heritage, in which the tuberculosis dispensary was based, broke out as a result of enemy shelling. The orcs are hunting for “strategic objects”, so they purposefully got into a medical facility,” Gaidai said.
The head of the OVA stressed that for more than two months of the war, not a single medical institution in the Lugansk region had survived.
“It also flew into the courtyard of the Belgian hospital, which was waiting for restoration and a new appointment,” he added.
Gaidai drew attention to the fact that the Belgian architectural ensemble in Lisichansk survived two world wars, but was destroyed by the Russians in the 21st century.
“Beautiful historical buildings have become targets for uneducated rashists. The goal of the Russians is total destruction,” the head of the OVA summed up.
Earlier in Lisichansk, as a result of shelling, the gymnasium building, which is part of the Belgian architectural heritage of the city , burned to the ground. The gymnasium has repeatedly been included in the rating of the best educational institutions in Ukraine and was one of the best educational institutions in the Luhansk region.
