Russia can mobilize without announcing it. However, the Kremlin will have nothing to arm and provide for the new military.
This was stated by the adviser to the head of the OP Alexei Arestovich in a conversation with Russian human rights activist Mark Feigin.
“Because the Russian people will start to rebel if the borders are closed. They (RF. – Ed.) will explain this with hostile intrigues, the need to search for saboteurs. They can call up reservists for training without announcing mobilization. They can do a lot. In particular, they can strengthen the methods of censorship, after all, mobilization is needed not so much for funds (for the war in Ukraine. – Ed.), but in order to justify the “crackdown” in Russia itself,” the adviser to the head of the Presidential Office noted.
But Arestovich did not rule out that the Putin regime might still dare to officially mobilize.
Earlier, Arestovich said that restrictions on traveling abroad for men could be eased .
