Two months in the occupation: without parents and under shelling – this is about 9-year-old Sasha, who at the beginning of the Russian invasion was cut off from his mom and dad.
For two months, the boy, along with distant relatives , hid from shelling in the basement in his native village in Zaporozhye and could not take him out, because the baby was at the epicenter of hostilities, according to TSN .
At two in the morning, after long wanderings, Sasha finally hugs his parents, he has not seen them for two months. “Shots started, we ran to the cellar, it ended there while we went to the house, and dad told us to get on the bus, we were taken to our godfather, and I was there for two months,” says Sasha.
The boy’s mother was in her last month of pregnancy when the Russians began shelling the village of Stepnoe. The father took his wife to the hospital, and Sasha sent her to her relatives. When he returned for him, all the evacuation corridors were already closed. Parents remained in the territory controlled by Ukraine, the child – in the occupied.
Two days later, the pregnant mother of the boy from the Orekhovsky maternity hospital was transferred to Zaporozhye. As it turned out, on time – the next day the Russians smashed the hospital with shells. At the same time, they began to haunt the village, where Sasha found refuge. The kid with distant relatives actually lived in the basement. “Yes, of course, they called each other every day, there were tears, and crying, and shouted:“ I will leave on foot, ”and there were tantrums. It was impossible to pick him up, and my sister would not let go, she was afraid, and we were afraid, ”says the boy’s mother.
There were no green corridors, but the parents did not stop trying to take the child out. Only one team of desperate volunteers volunteered to help. Throughout the journey from the occupied territory, the boy was handed over, almost from hand to hand. “I saw a glow at the cockpit, they were shooting there and everything was white. They said go fast, because these were departures, and now there will be arrivals, ”Sasha shares his memories.
The volunteer team involved in the evacuation recalls: 30 people, including Sasha, were taken out in a Gazelle under shelling. And the kid behaved so courageously that he could give odds to adults. “All the way he did not shed a tear. But when he came to his mother, he saw her, he burst into tears, but it was literally 30 seconds, then he got ready and said – I don’t cry anymore. I need all the documents, all the things that were handed over with me, to hand over to my mother, I quote, “according to the nomenclature,” says volunteer Inna.
Now the baby is gradually getting used to a peaceful life and helps his parents cope with his little sister. The whole family, together with grandparents, they live in a pharmacy, it was given for temporary housing to migrants. And he also masters the gift of volunteers – a scooter. He says he dreamed of him even before the war.
