A resident of the Dnieper was preparing a terrorist attack in the center of Zaporozhye. He was promptly detained by the SBU.
The purpose of the man was to destabilize the situation and spread panic among the locals .

According to the investigation, a resident of Dnipro, born in 1966, made an explosive device and disguised it as a crutch. The attacker planned to blow up explosives in the center of Zaporozhye, where there is a large crowd of people.
“He built a squib, an explosive into its cavity, and to enhance the effect of the defeat, he stuffed the explosive with elements of a damaging effect: nails and bolts,” the SBU said.
To commit a terrorist attack, the man tried to confuse the tracks. To do this, he went to the western regions of Ukraine, from where he arrived in Zaporozhye.
The SBU detained the attacker in his safe house. The police also seized explosives. It is now being established whether the man collaborated with the Russian special services.
Recall that Russia shelled ten settlements in the Donetsk region in a day on May 11 . The invaders killed and wounded civilians.
