Law enforcement officers exposed a resident of Bakhmut, Donetsk region, who collaborated with the invaders of the terrorist state of Russia.
The investigation found that in May 2022, the man voluntarily agreed to help the Russian occupiers. He helped the representative of the power department of the Russian Federation via the Internet.
This was reported in the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
The Ukrainian handed over to the invaders information about the location and movement of personnel, as well as equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The traitor also filmed the locations of the National Guard personnel on the territory of Bakhmut. In addition, the suspect put marks on electronic maps and informed the invaders about the missile hitting the building of the city’s civil infrastructure.
The man was informed of the suspicion of committing high treason under martial law. A measure of restraint in the form of detention without the possibility of bail was applied against him.
As reported, the Security Service of Ukraine detained a Russian agent in the Zhytomyr region who wanted to be drafted into a combat unit of the Armed Forces. The Russians recruited a resident of the Kyiv region at the beginning of the full-scale aggression of the Russian Federation – in March 2022. During the temporary occupation of one of the settlements of the Buchansky district, he began to cooperate with the enemy.
