For 25 years, Quantic Dream has worked as an independent developer, and in recent years as a publisher of third-party games. At the same time, the projects were created using unique technologies and involving real actors.

The Quantic Dream deal with NetEase did not come as a complete surprise to fans – in January 2019, NetEase became a minority shareholder of the French studio. Since that time they have been actively cooperating. Among the latest joint projects we can mention the mobile game Spellcaster, which is currently in its final stages. This exploration game is notable for the fact that in its plot a lot of attention is paid to the emotional state of the hero and self-isolation in the depths of the ocean.

“We are united by the desire to create bold and high-quality work,” Quantic Dream said.

The main fact of the new agreement is that Quantic Dream will be able to maintain its independence – NetEase will not interfere in the work of the French studio.
