Back in November 2020, thanks to a large-scale leak, information about the possibility of the release of Monster Hunter Stories 2 on PC sounded. This data turned out to be correct: Capcom has officially announced that Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will be released on PC (Steam) simultaneously with its Nintendo Switch debut on July 9th.

In order to celebrate such an important announcement, the developers from Capcom have released a new trailer for their project. In this story clip, viewers are introduced to three riders who have found a Rathalos (bipedal wyvern) egg. A cub has hatched from the egg, which can become very dangerous in the future. The video also covers co-op missions and an extended edition that includes a range of cosmetic items.

Like the first part, the role-playing adventure Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will invite players to feel like a rider who travels the world with monster companions and completes tasks. According to the plot, Ratalos disappeared en masse all over the world, and the main characters will be a descendant of the legendary rider named Red and his associates.

The protagonist will be able to use a special stone to establish and strengthen ties with various monsters. According to the producer of the Monster Hunter series, Ryozo Tsujimoto, these connections will have an impact on the history of Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin. A rich storyline is promised, filled with memorable characters, adventures, dramatic events and friendships.
