Thermalright has announced the Macho Rev. C Plus high-performance CPU cooler: the novelty is able to cope with heat dissipation from chips, whose maximum thermal energy dissipation (TDP) reaches 240 W.
The solution belongs to the tower type. Six U-shaped heat pipes with a diameter of 6 mm pass through the radiator. At the base is a nickel-plated copper pressure plate that acts as a small auxiliary heatsink.
The design provides for the use of a 140 mm TY-14U fan with overall dimensions of 152 × 140 × 26,5 mm. The rotation speed is adjustable from 300 to 1300 rpm. An air flow is formed with a volume of up to 125 cubic meters per hour. The fan boasts a low noise level – maximum 21 dBA.
The cooler measures 140 × 102 × 158 mm and weighs 720 g. It is said about compatibility with AMD processors in the AM4 version, as well as with Intel chips in the LGA 775 / 115x / 1366/2011 / -3 / 2066/1200 version.
There is currently no information on when and at what price the Macho Rev. C Plus model will go on sale.
