OPPO annually releases special versions of smartphones: the Chinese company cooperates with Barca and Lamborghini, releasing branded phones once a year. For example, in 2018, the OPPO Find X Lamborghini Edition smartphone appeared:

Now, continuing the tradition, the OPPO Find X2 Pro Lamborghini Edition is on sale. It was introduced in the spring along with the “just” OPPO Find X2 Pro, but unlike it, the limited modification will not be officially sold in Russia. We were lucky: we managed to look at the phone live, I want to share photos and impressions with you.

Judging purely from a technical standpoint, the OPPO Find X2 Pro Lamborghini Edition offers exactly the same specs as the flagship OPPO Find X2 Pro. The differences are in the redesigned case design, new materials and a rich delivery package.

Acquaintance with the smartphone begins with unpacking: the box opens as if the doors of a Lamborghini guillotine are being lifted. Inside are numerous accessories. These are OPPO wireless headphones, case, power supply, cable and car charger with fast charging. All of them are adorned with the Lamborghini logo, except that there is no black and gold logo on the cable.

The headphones are in a glossy case, a separate silicone case for it would not hurt – the surface is scratched. Headphones are called OPPO Enco Free, they are charged only via USB Type-C, they work up to five hours on a single charge. Separately, they are sold for 10,990 rubles.

The bundled cable for fast charging of the phone must be used, otherwise the miracle will not happen, and the OPPO smartphone will not charge at a hurricane speed. Separately, such wires are not sold in Russia, as well as powerful power supplies, so do not lose.

Perhaps, you will no longer be surprised by the super-fast charging of the phone – almost every six months, more and more powerful power supplies are announced. However, the 65W power supply still inspires respect: the smartphone supports Super VOOC 2.0 technology and charges up to 100% in less than 40 minutes when two batteries are charged in parallel.

The OPPO Find X2 Pro itself is a very nice smartphone, but in the case of the Lamborghini Edition, the designers went further and decided to embody the features of the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster in the phone.

The car was shown in the spring of 2019, but it remains the same unique: only 800 cars for 390,000 euros each, excluding taxes. All-wheel drive Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster squeezes out more than 350 km / h, and acceleration to 200 km / h takes only 8.8 seconds. Acceleration to 100 km / h is generally frantic – only 2.9 s.

The main detail on the body of the smartphone, reminiscent of Lamborghini, is the longitudinal ribs, similar to the spectacular curves of a supercar. In the photographs, it seems that these are just gloss overflows under the lighting, but it is enough to take the device in hand and feel the relief surface, richly decorated with carbon. This is a fundamental difference from other OPPO Find X2 Pro, where there may be ceramics or leather.

The most chic is the design of the back, where the color changes from black to shades of blue. It’s a pity to hide such beauty in a case.

The complete cover, by the way, is made of plastic, but on the outside it is finished with a material resembling leather. In the case, the platform with camera lenses is flush with the surface, does not protrude.

You can activate the theme, the icons are stylized as those used in Lamborghini. The style, in my opinion, is rude and strange, but here the questions are not for OPPO, but for the designers of Italian cars.

Further, you can already round off, because all other characteristics and properties are perfectly familiar from OPPO Find X2 Pro. The screen is gorgeous: OPPO added support for 120 Hz and a special mode, when the refresh rate is reduced automatically, the smartphone automatically selects the optimal mode.

Of course, this is AMOLED, where there are very thin frames, and the 6.7-inch display flows into the sides of the case. The top smartphone looks and feels expensive, you don’t want to let go of your hands.

In addition to the chic screen, the OPPO flagship has other outstanding qualities. It has a Snapdragon 865 processor – it simply wasn’t more powerful at the time of the announcement, 865+ was shown not so long ago – 12 GB of RAM, 512 GB of internal memory, so you don’t have to worry about the lack of a memory card.

The smartphone features a 5x optical zoom, 10x hybrid zoom, a 48MP Sony IMX689 sensor with OIS as the main camera, a 48MP Sony IMX586 ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 13MP telephoto camera with OIS. 32 MP front camera, NFC, USB Type-C, on-screen fingerprint scanner.

In Russia, only OPPO Find X2 is sold for 72,990 rubles, and the more sophisticated version of OPPO Find X2 Pro has not reached us. There will be no exclusive model OPPO Find X2 Pro Lamborghini Edition – in any case, official deliveries are not planned. At the presentation of the smartphone, its price was also announced: about 2000 euros.

Perhaps the question will arise: why pay extra for the carbon finish of the case and additional accessories, if you can buy a regular OPPO Find X2 Pro or Find X2. For a company, this is an occasion to declare its capabilities and ambitions, for gadget lovers it is a chance to get a rare thing, but for everyone else it is a non-binding opportunity to look at a beautiful device.
