Every time I want to take a ride on Vivo smartphones, calling them overpriced, I restrain myself, since sales statistics say that every quarter the brand ships 20-30 million devices, ranking 4-5 in the world.

Vivo is not doing well in Russia yet. However, like Oppo. Both companies regularly release new devices, but few will raise a hand to give 65 thousand for Vivo. And the slogan: “Change the world of photography.” So far, only Apple has changed the world of photography, when it launched an advertising campaign “shot on the iPhone” and everyone realized that you can do beautifully on a mobile phone.

About design. A thin bending display with a tiny opening for the front camera with a diameter of only 3.96 mm, graceful edges, rounded using the R3 technology, and a two-stage camera unit – the device is pleasant to hold and just contemplate.

My opinion is that the device is really interesting, but as a brand for which you can pay so much money, Vivo is not seen, so sales will be minimal.

In the US market, the smartphone can be found for a nicer price of $ 599. Velvet is an all-new line in LG’s portfolio, replacing the G-series, which dubbed the flagship V-series. Velvet got its own unique positioning. This is not a flagship, but a middle + segment. That is, a simpler processor, a simpler camera, etc. And by the way, this is also the first representative of LG’s new approach to design.

But! You can purchase a branded case with a second screen for your smartphone. Initially, I decided that a cover with a screen was stupid, but after turning the devices at exhibitions, I came to the conclusion that, on the contrary, the idea is much more promising than folding screens. For work, play and entertainment, two screens are much more convenient than one foldable.

In general, LG managed to make a good device without obvious failures, with 5G support and at a good price (if you look at the price in dollars). Let’s see how buyers in the US will react to the smartphone. And don’t forget that LG’s new gender has pledged that the mobile division will be profitable in 2021.

Initially, I wrote about this smartphone back in May, but now Poco F2 Pro is on sale in the domestic market. I originally wrote the following.

If we look at the new Poco F2 Pro in a vacuum, then this is an interesting machine with excellent performance at a reasonable price. 40 rubles is a fair price for such hardware. The Poco F000 Pro really claims to be the flagship killer. It has top-end specs and powerful cameras, and even has a twist in the form of a sliding front camera.

Here, by the way, there is a slippery moment. The first “poko” was unique both in price and hardware, and in design. And the new Poco F2 Pro is Redmi K30 Pro. Knowing this moment, listening to the stories at the presentation, what we thought, tried, designed, is a little strange. Thought in the Redmi team. You position yourself as a separate independent office within the Xiaomi holding. What have you been thinking for a long time? Call it Pocopfone F2 or Poco F2?

The question remains whether your smartphone makes you want to make a purchase. The landscape of the market has changed in 2 years since the first “Pokophone”. And there are many affordable and interesting smartphones around. At the same time, technologies have developed so much that the presence of the top-end chipset is not necessary. Xiaomi Mi 10 is a prime example. Top camera on Snapdragon 720G. People buy and are satisfied.

I still agree with everything said, however, as you can see, the price turned out to be not 40, but 50 thousand rubles. Which is quite logical, given the weakening of the ruble and the general financial instability. One trouble! The rise in wages has not kept pace with the rise in prices. The prospects for the unknown expensive brand are vague. And the question remains, who is the target audience of Poco in the Russian market.

The flagship from realme. So far, Realme, like Vivo, is not very popular in our market. But I advise you to keep an eye on the devices, because, unlike Vivo, realme products have an attractive price, like Xiaomi, while the devices are still devoid of advertising integrations. The smartphone was reviewed by Ilya Subbotin, I recommend it.

The smartphone is extremely interesting. It is on the chipset of the previous, but still very current generation – Snapdragon 855+. Huge 6.6-inch 120Hz screen. Memory 8/12 GB. Camera systems are also curious. The main unit consists of 4 cameras, the front camera consists of 2 cameras. In his review, Ilya wrote very correctly: “realme did what I personally expected from OnePlus in Russia.” Exactly. OnePlus has turned from a flagship killer into an ordinary brand. And it seems that realme took its place. With the only amendment that the brand works in all price segments.

Does the smartphone have any downsides? Certainly. But the specs and price outweighs. I would call it a “player” in the rating, but the brand is still unknown to most, and on the shelf for the same price there are more eminent competitors who will drag sales.

I still believe that any adequate flagship on Qualcomm or Kirin is a 100% gaming smartphone. However, unlike traditional games, mobile gaming is booming. Call of Duty Mobile and PUBG have proven that you can even play shooters and have fun. The development of gaming streaming services will continue with the proliferation of 5G. Many will discover that it is possible and necessary to play AAA games on smartphones. Agree, it’s one thing to try to see something on a bad screen with low resolution and lags. And it’s completely different when you have a 6.65-inch screen with a refresh rate of 144 Hz and support for HDR10 + and everything flies on 5G. By the way, most laptop screens and monitors have worse performance, and what people buy under the guise of gaming laptops raises questions.

Separately, gaming smartphones are amusing with their performance. And in general, this category is perhaps the first smartphones in several years, in which there is “game”! So, Lenovo has stuck as much as 16 GB of RAM into the device. Another interesting moment is fast 90 W charging, which allows you to charge your smartphone up to 100% in 30 minutes, and up to 50% in 10 minutes. To achieve this speed, the smartphone has two batteries, and it will have to be charged with two wires at once.

You can buy a docking station with a monitor for your smartphone and play on a big screen. So far, such solutions seem far-fetched and strange (to charge a smartphone with two wires!), But it is likely that in the future, work with the device will continue. You use your smartphone as it is, when on the street, coming home, you put it in a docking station, and the device becomes the heart of a smart home.

And the smartphone was also included in the selection, because look at what a chic price it is on the Chinese market.

Unfortunately, Motorola got down to business in a slipshod manner. The stylus in the Galaxy Note series, of which I am a fan, is a huge improvement on how you can interact with your smartphone. Starting from the ability to work with text, windows, photography and ending with the ability to draw. At Motorola, the stylus provides only basic drawing capabilities. Even on the promo-site Motorola points out the opportunity to write “Eggs” by hand as a selling chip. Nobody will do this.

I hope that these are just the first steps and the company will work on the software in future models. In the meantime, there is only Galaxy Note on the market. This is sad.
