This week, the Chinese company Xiaomi announced the start of sales in Russia of its mid-range smartphone Redmi Note 9T, which received a Dimensity 800U processor from MediaTek, a triple main camera with a 48 MP main module, a large 6,53-inch Full HD + display, and battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh. The price of the novelty was 20 490 rubles for the 4 GB + 64 GB version and 21 990 rubles for the 4 GB + 128 GB version.
Not a bad device in the middle price range, which is also distinguished by the presence of a violet color solution on our market. The official name of the color is “Purple Dawn”.

And the Harman company presented in Russia an update of the JBL TUNE wireless headphone line – models 510BT and 660BTNC. Having retained the form factor of the on-ear headphones, the new items received the Bluetooth 5.0 protocol, a USB-C charging connector and significantly increased autonomy. The built-in battery on both models guarantees up to 35 hours of non-stop music playback. You can extend the running time of the JBL TUNE 660BTNC to 48 hours by turning off active noise canceling. The recommended retail price for JBL TUNE 510BT is 3 rubles, for TUNE 890BTNC – 660 rubles.
Not a fan of on-ear headphones, but for the sake of interest, I would listen to TUNE 660BTNC. Headphones with noise reduction, Type-C and Bluetooth 5.0 for relatively little money, this is already interesting.

The Chinese company Huawei also delighted us with a new product and introduced the Huawei MatePad tablet to the Russian market, which received a number of significant updates: a powerful Kirin 820 processor, an increased amount of internal memory and an optimized battery charge time. The device supports the new standard Wi-Fi 6 wireless network and has an extensive set of multimedia features. The MatePad has a 10,4-inch 2K display with a 16: 9 aspect ratio. The battery in the tablet with a capacity of 7250 mAh, according to the manufacturer, will last for 12 hours of operation in the mode of browsing the Internet or for 12,5 hours of watching videos in Full HD format. The updated Huawei MatePad went on sale, for the 4 GB + 128 GB (Wi-Fi) version they ask for 26 rubles.
Back this week, the Japanese automaker Mazda began selling its updated Mazda CX-9 crossover in Russia. The car received a redesigned appearance, new trim options, as well as modern technological options (including wireless Qi charging and support for Apple CarPlay wireless connection) and an expanded arsenal of active safety systems. Four trim levels are available for the Russian market: Active, Supreme, Exclusive and Executive. According to statistics for 2020, 70% of customers ordered a car in the top-end Executive configuration, which will cost from 3 rubles, and prices for the initial version of Active start at 703 rubles.

On Friday, Hyundai Motor CIS presented the updated Hyundai Santa Fe crossover, which increased in size, received an updated design of the front and rear parts, radiator grill and headlights. In the top versions, the car will be equipped with a head-up display, a virtual instrument panel, a media system with a 10,25-inch screen and support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, including support for a wireless connection. Also, the car will have remote parking, an automatic braking system in front of an obstacle from behind, all-round cameras, a monitoring system for blind spots and recognition of road signs. The updated crossover will be available in five and seven-seater versions. In the Russian market, the new product is offered with three power units: two gasoline engines and one diesel engine. The crossover will be available in four trim levels to choose from: Family, Lifestyle, Prestige and High-Tech. The initial configuration of Hyundai Santa Fe will cost 2 rubles, and the maximum High-Tech will cost 479 rubles for the version with the G000 gasoline engine and 3 rubles for the car with the D299 diesel engine.
The interior of the updated Santa Fe has become definitely more pleasant, and the exterior has been slightly updated and remained in the spirit of the previous model:
Sennheiser, which manufactures various types of headphones and audio devices for the consumer and business segment, has announced its intention to sell the consumer segment of its business to focus on activities related to corporate users. This statement was made by the current co-directors of the company Andreas and Daniel Sennheiser, the grandchildren of the founder of the brand. Sennheiser’s business consists of four areas – Pro Audio, Business Communication, Neumann and Consumer Electronics. The company intends to find a partner who will invest in its consumer business and can use the strengths of the brand and its achievements in the field of consumer audio technology to create new products and provide users with a unique sound experience. As a contender for the consumer business of Sennheiser, Google is considered, which, by analogy with Apple, which once bought Beats Electronics, will be able to strengthen its competencies in the field of sound.
Unexpected news, although considering that, probably, for five years Sennheiser has not produced any attractive mass products, apparently everything is natural here. The company was unable to adapt to the market, the TWS headphones that it has been releasing lately, although they were interesting, were not particularly in demand among buyers.

Beeline on the eve of the holidays has prepared several rather interesting actions. TikTok will remain Chinese
Since the end of the Trump administration, ByteDance sees no point in selling its US business to TikTok. The plan for the forced sale of TikTok’s American business was imposed by the former American administration. The Chinese authorities also impede the continuation of the deal, which, despite words about their reluctance to interfere in commercial activities, have announced the principles that it must follow. According to experts, the Chinese authorities do not want the deal to sell the American business to TikTok to look like kneeling before the US government, so as not to create bad precedents for other Chinese companies. Also, the Chinese authorities have adopted regulatory documents prohibiting the transfer of key ByteDance algorithms to the American division of the company. All these circumstances indicate that there is no point in the deal during the administration of President Joe Biden.
Although okay this TikTok, here the new social network Clubhouse is storming Olympus. So far, as in the good old days, the network is available only by invitation, and besides, it is only available in the version for iOS (official client). For some reason I didn’t get into it, this social network is not given to me for those who like to talk, but maybe I’ll try it again.

Jaguar will switch to the production of electric vehicles
Carmaker Jaguar Land Rover announced plans to move to the production of electric vehicles. The company aims to make Jaguar a luxury electric vehicle brand by 2025, and Land Rover will transition 60% of its product line to electric by 2030. The company expects to launch six electric Land Rover models over the next five years, with the first model expected to launch in 2024. By 2030, all Land Rover models will be available in either gasoline or electric versions, the company will discontinue diesel engines and simultaneously develop and implement hydrogen fuel cell engines. Jaguar Land Rover plans to minimize its carbon dioxide emissions by 2039. Jaguar Land Rover is owned by Indian carmaker Tata Motors, which previously announced its Reimagine strategy to help transform Land Rover’s vision for Jaguar.

New Qashqai and Outlander
Nissan has introduced a new generation of the Qashqai crossover. The wheelbase of the car has become 20 mm longer, and the overall overall length has increased by 35 mm. The same changes took place with its height (+ 25 mm) and with its width, which added 32 mm for better stability on the road. At the heart of Qashqai’s technological upgrades is a new platform called the Alliance CMF-C. As with the two previous generations, the design of the new Nissan Qashqai was developed at Nissan’s European Design Center in London.
The new Nissan Qashqai is equipped with the NissanConnect infotainment system with a 9-inch display, Wi-Fi support, as well as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, the latter with wireless connectivity. The car can be equipped with a 10,8-inch head-up display (HUD), a 12,3-inch virtual instrument cluster and home-to-car function compatible with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa devices. The new crossover is equipped with the next generation ProPILOT driver assistance system, which provides driver support in a wider range of situations. The system allows the car to accelerate and brake independently within the same lane. The system can accelerate the car to the set speed and stop it to 0 km / h during heavy traffic in traffic jams. The system can resume automatically if the vehicle has been stationary for less than three seconds and the vehicles in front start moving.
The Nissan Qashqai will be available not only with a 1,3 DiG-T petrol engine equipped with mild hybrid technology, but also for the first time in Europe with an e-POWER powertrain, which uses technology from the Nissan LEAF electric vehicle.
The exterior of the new Nissan Qashqai, in my opinion, has become more modern and interesting, but the interior was not very successful, now it is in the spirit of the latest Toyota RAV4 model.
And the Japanese company Mitsubishi has introduced a new, fourth generation of its popular Outlander crossover. The new model is based on the CMF-C / D platform, which it shares with the Nissan X-Trail. The novelty differs markedly from its predecessor both in design and dimensions. A digital dashboard, a large-area head-up display and a multimedia system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support appeared in the car interior. The Outlander also features three-zone climate control, smart navigation and several electronic assistants, including adaptive cruise control with lane keep assist. The cabin can be equipped with a Bose audio system with 10 speakers. The production of the car has already started in Japan, it will appear on the market in April this year and will cost from $ 25 in the US. The new generation of the crossover will get to Russia only next year.
The new Mitsubishi Outlander is very similar to Hyundai Santa Fe inside and outside in some elements. For example, the placement of the front optics is very similar in the Japanese crossover to the Korean one, and the similar layout of the media system and climate control units is striking in the cabin. The new Outlander is very different from the previous generation, the crossover has become somehow more massive and aggressive, and the interior now looks modern.
