Apple recently released macOS Big Sur 11.2.1 update. Judging by the changelog, it fixes the problem in which some MacBook Pros do not charge, but if that did not help, there is a reason to contact the service for a free battery replacement.
Few users have encountered the problem, the company says. However, the Free Replacement Program applies to 2016 and 2017 MacBook Pros.
If the battery of your laptop does not charge above 1% – write to support or go to an authorized service center, where the laptop will be checked and if an error is found, it will be sent for free service.
To check the battery status, go to System Preferences → Battery → Battery Status. On macOS Catalina or earlier, hold down the Option key and click the battery icon in the menu bar.
