Apple still intends to release iPhone 12 with support for fifth generation networks in the fall. This is reported by the authoritative publication Bloomberg, citing its own sources in Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., better known as Foxconn.
According to sources, the mass production launch of future iPhones is scheduled for the summer. This means that the model will be released in the fall. No specific dates have been named, so a traditional September presentation could take place in October or even November.
Foxconn is now re-entering production rails. The company even increased bonuses for new employees by bringing people into production.
Earlier, I wrote that Apple may postpone the September launch of iPhones indefinitely:
There are no contradictions to each other in both news. And earlier I wrote that while the decision on the transfer has not been made, the company will discuss something specific with its Chinese suppliers no earlier than May. This is where the launch of iPhones may be postponed.
However, it should be understood that Foxconn is not the only supplier. Supply chains are made up of hundreds of companies around the world, including Malaysia, India, Taiwan, Germany, the UK, Israel, Italy and others – countries that now have strict quarantine rules.
Apple and its partners spend months and even years searching for component suppliers around the world. Any disruption to this complex network can delay future devices.
Apparently, everything is in order with the iPhone 12, since a person familiar with the situation at Foxconn says about it, but about other products you cannot be sure.
