Actor Andrei Myagkov, the star of the cult film “The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath”, has passed away. This was reported at the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater, where Myagkov served.
Andrey was 82 years old. During his life, he starred in many Soviet films, including Office Romance, Cruel Romance, Garage, The Brothers Karamazov and many others.
For the role of Lukashin in “The Irony of Fate” Myagkov was awarded the USSR State Prize, and for the role of Novoseltsev in “Office Romance” – the State Prize of the RSFSR named after the Vasilyev brothers. In addition, the actor was awarded the Order of Honor, the Order of Friendship and the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, III degree.
