According to rumors, Apple will release four new iPhones this fall. Today we have photos of models of covers of the entire line, printed on a 3D printer. They make it clear what sizes the upcoming iPhone 12 lineup will be:
The iPhones lineup will look like this:
- iPhone 12 Pro Max will receive a 6,7-inch OLED display;
- The OLED display on the iPhone 12 Pro will be slightly bumped up from the iPhone 11 Pro to 6,1-inches;
- But the display dimensions of the iPhone 12 Max will be identical to the iPhone 11 – 6,1 inches. But here the matrix will change from IPS to OLED, and the pixel density will also increase to 458 PPI (Super Retina);
- The most unexpected may turn out to be a hypothetical base iPhone 12. The diagonal of its display will be 5,4 inches. That is, in terms of dimensions, it will be something in between the iPhone SE of both generations. And the photo of the covers shows how small it will be.
Apparently, the dimensions of the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Max, with their 6,1-inch displays, will either be identical or very close. Therefore, there are only three cases in the photographs.
According to early leaks, the edges of all iPhone 12 models will be flat rather than rounded. Because of this, many media outlets say that the appearance of these iPhones resembles the iPhone 4. And the mock-ups of the cases illustrate this leak well – their edges are flat.
Because of the flat edges, Apple will be able to increase the diagonal of the displays without resorting to increasing the case. Therefore, apparently, the dimensions of the successor to the iPhone 11 will be reduced, and the display will remain identical in diagonal.
What models will they be?
There is not much information yet. These data can be called conditionally confirmed, since they came from different sources. According to all the early leaks, the following iPhones will be:
