Scientists from NASA note that NGC 2336 is located at a distance of about 100 million light years from Earth, writes SciTechDaily. The object is located in the constellation Camelopardalis (Giraffe), while there are fairly young stars on the arms of the galaxy. They are most easily recognized by their bright blue color. The old stars have found their place in the central part and stand out for their redness.
Recall that the galaxy itself was discovered back in 1876 by the German astronomer Wilhelm Tempel. But thanks to the huge Hubble mirror, scientists have finally managed to get a high-quality image of the object.
