According to foreign analysts and the media, Apple paid Samsung a $ 950 million fine for not buying enough OLED panels from the latter.

Samsung last week shared its revenue and operating profit guidance for the second quarter of this year. And in this report there was a mention of a noticeable increase in the production of displays. Probably, we are talking about the payment of a fine, although there is no exact confirmation of this.
Is Apple Doomed?

The “default” on the purchase of the minimum number of OLED panels may be due to the pandemic and the closure of all retail stores of the company, and the iPhone SE of the second generation with an IPS display, which is of interest to users, has recently appeared, and the most popular smartphone in the world (talking about the iPhone 11) also comes with an IPS panel.
Last year, the situation was identical, except that the fine was smaller: due to low demand for iPhones with OLED displays, Apple paid Samsung $ 683 million.
