Roskomnadzor reported that since 2017 Twitter has not removed 2862 materials with prohibited information. Among them, according to the department, are materials about methods of committing suicides, as well as calls for them, pornographic images of minors, information about methods of obtaining narcotic drugs.

It is reported that Roskomnadzor has already sent more than 28 thousand removal requests to Twitter.

The department also threatened the company with a fine of 800 thousand to 8 million rubles. If Twitter breaks the law again, the fine will rise to one-fifth of the company’s total annual revenue.
