Today, new information about the Samsung Galaxy A82 smartphone has appeared on the Web, the first mention of which appeared in January. Apparently, Samsung still has a considerable supply of Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chipsets, since the smartphone, which was found in the AnTuTu database with the SM-A826S index, is based on this particular processor.

Samsung is believed to be working on several variants of the Galaxy A82, and it is not yet known if all of them will be based on the Snapdragon 855+. As for the tested sample, in addition to the Snapdragon 855+, it boasts 5G support, carries 6 GB of RAM and runs Android 11.

The new smartphone will obviously be the successor to the Galaxy A80 introduced in 2019. This Snapdragon 730-based device featured a full-screen bezel design and an unusual rotating camera block that could function as both the main and front module. Similar functionality is expected to be implemented in the Galaxy A82, as hinted at in one of Samsung’s recent patents.

The launch date and detailed specifications of the Galaxy A82 remain a mystery for now. Nevertheless, judging by the fact that the device has already been noted in the AnTuTu benchmark, its launch should take place in the coming months.
