Bethesda Softworks and id Software have announced a teaser trailer for The Ancient Gods, Part Two, the second installment of the two-part story expansion for DOOM Eternal, in the Doom series official microblogging.
As it became known, the debut video of the upcoming expansion will be published on March 15 this year. Along with the date, Bethesda Softworks and id Software have revealed a key illustration of the add-on (attached above).
The announcement was preceded by a leak: The Ancient Gods, Part Two page appeared in the Bethesda Softworks digital store ahead of time – the screenshots attached below and the mentioned concept art appeared on the Web.
The Ancient Gods, Part Two is slated to release before the first anniversary of DOOM Eternal’s release on March 20th. At least that was the original promise to buyers of the Season Pass.
Several other factors indicate the imminent release: in mid-February, the upcoming addition was noticed on the website of the Australian rating agency, and in early March, a list of achievements was announced.
Recall that the events of both parts of The Ancient Gods unfold after the final of DOOM Eternal. As part of a two-part adventure, the Doom Slayer will “Again decide the fate of the universe”.
The Ancient Gods, Part One is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Google Stadia. This expansion and its sequel will reach Nintendo Switch later this year.
