Samsung, according to LetsGoDigital, has filed applications for registration of the Galaxy Z trademark: the documents have been made public on the websites of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and the Australian Intellectual Property Office (IP Australia).
The name Galaxy Z is said to be applicable to a variety of devices. These are, in particular, smartphones, smart wristwatches, virtual reality helmets, tablets and smart speakers.
Thus, there is a possibility that Samsung will release various wearable gadgets equipped with flexible displays in the future. The fact is that now the Galaxy Z series includes the Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold devices, which are equipped with a flexible screen.
Meanwhile, this year the South Korean giant is expected to present smartphones Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3. The first will be made in a clamshell format, and the second will receive a book case. Rumor has it that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will be Samsung’s first flexible S Pen.
We also add that this year it is expected to release smartphones with flexible display under the brands OPPO, Vivo and Xiaomi.
