Fitbit has introduced the third generation of the children’s activity and sleep tracker Ace. Designed for kids ages three and up, the device features new animated dials, color options, and offers water resistance and eight days of battery life.
The screen of the new device is 20% brighter than the display of the previous generation tracker. Fitness tracker Ace 3 has got new modes such as “Sleep” and “Do not disturb”. Children will also love the new animated dials featuring a rabbit, a cat, a Martian and a spaceship. They all grow and change as the child achieves their sporting goals. According to the company, the device is designed to help children form healthy habits and increase their level of physical activity. Ace trackers are special in that they do not allow children to use social functions of the Fitbit app, with which adults can, for example, share photos from their workouts. In addition, parents must create an account for children under the age of 12.
Like previous models, the Ace 3 will receive a pedometer, but will lack a heart rate sensor. The device sets fitness goals that are appropriate for the age and physical condition of the child. In general, the tracker suggests spending 60 minutes a day on vigorous exercise and walking 10 steps. The cost of the device is $ 80. The Fitbit Ace 3 is available for pre-order today. Sales of the device will start on March 15, and in the summer there will be two accessories on the theme of minions at a price of $ 30.
