Bethesda Softworks announced the release of Flames of Ambition and Update 29 for the MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online. DLC is already available on PC (Windows and macOS). On PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the release will take place on March 16.
Fire of Ambition is the first part of the Gates of Oblivion adventure. She added two dungeons – Black Drake Villa and Cauldron.
Villa of the Black Serpent is located on the Gold Coast and represents “A luxurious estate full of mysteries and secret passages, where monsters and arsonists have settled”… Players will travel there with the forest elf Eveli Sharp-Arrow and, among other things, explore the secret library. The dungeon contains five bosses.
The Cauldron is an eerie, abandoned mine in Deshaan that hides members of the Waking Flame Order, which enslaved the locals. Together with the dremora Lyranth, users must fight cultists and hordes of Daedric monsters and free the captives. There are three bosses.
Dungeons offer unique rewards, including gear sets and collectibles, and unlock achievements. Both are available in normal and veteran modes, and the Black Serpent’s villa is also offered to be completed in increased difficulty mode, having fought with each of the three bosses. A new outfit style is issued for entering the dungeons (like the character on the left in the image below).
Free add-on for ESO Plus subscribers. The rest of the standard edition will cost 1500 kroons (in-game currency), and the collector’s edition – 4000 kroons. The latter includes a mount (Falinesti Zealot’s Totem Deer), a Pet (Clear Lake Striped Fawn), and five Crown Experience Scrolls.
Update 29 includes two important changes. The first concerns the hero’s system (it opens upon reaching level 50). The stars are now divided into three groups of constellations, corresponding to different gameplay mechanics. This innovation increases the variety of unique assemblies. A hero panel has also appeared, containing up to four stars from each constellation group. The second change affected the character page. The list of displayed parameters has expanded, making it easier to understand how the distribution of hero points, equipment, skills and characteristics affects the character.
The Oblivion Gateway adventure will last for a year and will tell about the events that took place 800 years before the start of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The heroes have to find out what the Daedric Prince of Destruction Mehrunes Dagon is up to. The Fire of Ambition storyline continues in the Blackwood chapter, which kicks off June 1 on PC and June 8 on consoles. She will add a new large region, events, challenges, dungeons, bosses, and also change the satellite system.
