Netgear announced the Nighthawk Tri-band Mesh WiFi 6 System (MK83), designed to form wireless mesh networks (Mesh) for high bandwidth and large coverage.
The system consists of three devices – a key router and two auxiliary satellites. As the name suggests, it supports Wi-Fi 6, or IEEE 802.11ax.
The platform provides operation in two 5 GHz bands and a 2,4 GHz band. The data transfer rate can reach 1800, 1200 and 600 Mbps, respectively.
All three devices carry a processor with four processing cores operating at frequencies up to 1,5 GHz. The equipment of the router includes 512 MB of RAM and 256 MB of flash memory.
Working together, the devices cover an area of over 415 square meters. Implemented support for MU-MIMO and OFDMA technologies.
The router has three Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports and one Gigabit Ethernet WAN port. Accessory devices are equipped with two Gigabit Ethernet connectors.
