The Gematsu portal reported that the developers from the Crim studio have clarified the timing of the release of the PC version of their action game El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron and shared new screenshots of the project.
The game director Sawaki Takeyasu announced in December 2020 that El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron will sooner or later reach the PC. In February 2021, the developer clarified that the release would take place on Steam.
As it became known, El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron will go on sale for PC (Steam) around the middle of April this year. The project does not yet have a page in the Valve digital store.
The developers also presented a number of screenshots of the PC version of El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron. The picture quality is not overly high – none of them even reaches 1080p.
El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron, according to the creators, combines “Elements of many genres”, and the game itself offers “Rich and thoughtful history”, “Gorgeous anime-style graphics” and an intuitive combat system.
El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron is inspired by The Ethiopian Book of Enoch, one of the most significant Old Testament apocrypha. According to the plot, the main character is looking for seven fallen angels to prevent the great flood that threatens humanity.
El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron debuted in September 2011 (European release) on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. On Metacritic, the project has 75 to 78% of 100 depending on the target platform.
