Recently, players and journalists have discovered that the latest PC version of NieR: Automata from the Microsoft Store and Xbox Games Pass turned out to be better than the one that was presented on Steam for a long time. This immediately caused a wave of dissatisfaction among the buyers of the project on the Valve site. They have bombarded the game with negative reviews and urged others to join their protest.
Over the past 30 days, NieR: Automata has received 1937 user reviews. Of these, only 51% were positive, and in most reviews, players complain about the disgusting state of the Steam version of the project and the recent release of an improved edition with the subtitle Become As Gods in the Microsoft Store and Xbox Games Pass. The latter boasts the correct work of resolutions, frameless windowing mode and support for AMD FidelityFX Contrast Adaptive Sharpening.
Customers on Steam are unhappy that Platinum Games and Square Enix have released an enhanced edition, while keeping the long-available game on the Valve store intact. The Steam version flaunts a locked frame rate, low resolution screensavers, isolated bugs and other problems. Users write about this in their reviews.
