Activision Blizzard has announced that an update for the shooters Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone, Season Two: The Reboot, will be released on March 31st at 9:00 AM EDT, which will significantly reduce the overall size of games on the media.
According to the publisher on the official Call of Duty blog, the improvement was made possible by optimizing data and content sets for individual game modes. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare users will be able to choose which elements of the shooter to remove. In addition, the update will reduce the file size for Call of Duty: Warzone by 10,9–14,2 GB and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare by 30,6–33,6 GB, depending on the platform.
Activision Blizzard indicated that the volume of the update itself will be 7,4-14,8 GB for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and 52-57,8 GB for Call of Duty: Warzone, or 133,6 GB for both games. Subsequent updates will be smaller.
Call of Duty: Warzone, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare are available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S.
