During today’s presentation, Xiaomi company announced the flagship router – Mi AX9000 Gaming Wi-Fi Router, the sales of which will begin on April 2.
The new product complies with the Wi-Fi 6, or IEEE 802.11ax standard. Implemented support for MU-MIMO and OFDMA technologies; simultaneous connection of a large number of clients is possible.
Xiaomi calls the device a tri-band router. In addition to the traditional 2,4 and 5 GHz bands, another 5 GHz band is supported, designed to carry exclusively gaming traffic.
The router is powered by a Qualcomm 14nm processor that contains four ARM Cortex-A53 cores up to 2,2GHz and a dual-core NPU up to 1,7GHz. The amount of RAM is 1 GB.
The declared data transfer rate can reach 4804 Mbps. Four LAN ports and a USB 3.0 connector are mentioned. The design provides for the presence of four external antenna modules. In the upper part of the case, there is an X-shaped illumination with the ability to reproduce 16 million colors.
The Mi AX9000 Gaming Wi-Fi Router will be available for an estimated price of $ 150.
