Kharkiv police detained a man who stole a woman’s savings when she was hiding from shelling.
The money was returned to the victim.

“The attacker was tempted by the woman’s bag, in which she kept all her savings in the amount of $30,000 and UAH 100,000. The police returned the money to the owner,” the report says.
An unknown attacker stole funds from the victim in the basement of a house on Gagarin Avenue in Kharkov, where she was hiding from shelling. The police have identified the thief. It turned out to be a 24-year-old resident of the city of Kharkov. The offender entered the basement and took the bag.
Law enforcement officers informed the criminal of suspicion, he is currently in custody. He faces up to 8 years in prison.
