In the Luhansk region, people began to be supplied with gas that does not have a specific pungent odor.
Since May 1, due to the full-scale Russian invasion of the territory of Ukraine, consumers in the Lugansk region have been supplied with gas without an odorant, so it does not have a specific pungent odor.
This was reported by the head of the Luhansk police department Serhiy Gaidai.
“The Kramatorsk linear production department of main gas pipelines informed Luganskgaz JSC about the risks and complications in the delivery of a substance for natural gas odorization to consumers. A similar situation has arisen due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine,” the report says.
Citizens are urged to be extremely careful, to follow the rules for the safe use of natural gas.
By the way, an odorant is a substance that is added to a gas to give it a strong specific smell, mainly a warning, or by which the places of expiration are determined. To ensure the safety of transportation and use of gas, it is specially given a pungent odor.
Recall that the invaders fired at a hospital in Severodonetsk, as a result of which a patient died .
