There is a full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine and offensive operations in the Eastern Operational Zone.

This is reported in the morning summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06:00 on May 1, 2022.

To speed up the offensive operation in Ukraine, the Russian occupiers are transporting weapons and military equipment removed from storage in the Western, Central, Eastern military districts and the northern fleet to the regions bordering Ukraine by rail.

In the Volyn and Polesye directions , the enemy did not take active actions. There were no significant changes in the situation in these areas.

There is still a threat of missile attacks by the enemy on military and civilian infrastructure facilities throughout Ukraine from the territory of the Republic of Belarus, as well as the implementation of provocations by the enemy on the specified section of the state border of Ukraine.

In the Seversk direction , enemy units fired at the positions of our troops from the territory of the Bryansk region.

In the Slobozhansky direction , the enemy grouping continues to inflict air strikes and fire artillery on Kharkov. The occupiers are carrying out offensive operations in the directions of Izyum-Barvenkovo and Izyum-Slavyansk. The strengthening of the enemy strike force continues. Up to 300 units of weapons and military equipment were moved to certain areas, and about a thousand mobilized people arrived from the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

For the purpose of air defense of the advancing troops in four specific areas, the enemy deployed two anti-aircraft missile divisions armed with the Buk-M2 air defense system and the Tor-M air defense system.

In the Donetsk and Tauride directions, the grouping of enemy troops is conducting active operations along the entire section of the line of confrontation. The enemy is trying to carry out air strikes and fiery artillery destruction of the positions of our troops.

In the Limansky direction , the enemy is conducting an offensive in the direction of Krymka and Aleksandrovka.

In the Popasnyansky direction , the occupiers are carrying out assault operations in the direction of Novotoshkovskoye – Orekhovo. They are fixed on the achieved boundaries. In order to prevent the maneuver of our forces and means, they block them in certain areas.

On the Kurakhovsky direction , with the support of artillery, the enemy is trying to break through the defense of our units in the direction of Olenevka – Novomikhailovka.

In the Yuzhnobuzhsky direction , the enemy is conducting military operations in order to reach the administrative borders of the Kherson region and create favorable conditions for an attack on Nikolaev and Krivoy Rog.

Over the previous day, air defense units hit nine air targets: two Su-25 aircraft and seven UAVs.

Only in the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions over the past day, 9 enemy attacks were repulsed, 8 tanks, 1 artillery system, 24 armored vehicles, 1 special vehicle and 5 vehicles (including two tankers) were destroyed.

Recall that the Armed Forces of Ukraine again hit the occupied Serpentine , 42 invaders were destroyed. In addition, in the Kherson region, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed the enemy electronic warfare station Reppelent-1 with artillery fire.
