The police of the Lviv region exposed an attacker who made and then sold low-quality plates, from which bulletproof vests were subsequently made.
By the way, in March, a man received plates of the appropriate standard for bulletproof vests from abroad, which he had to give to a volunteer organization. However, he decided to sell them instead.
According to the National Police, the volunteers ordered more such plates from a resident of the Lviv region. However, the man decided to make them himself.
When the volunteers bought plates for bulletproof vests, they decided to check their quality. The plates could not withstand the shot of a bullet of automatic weapons of caliber 5.45 and 7.62 mm and in fact did not meet the requirements of the standards of the corresponding protection class.
“Based on the evidence obtained, the defendant was informed of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 190 (fraud) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine,” the police said.
For the committed man faces up to three years in prison.
Recall that earlier in the Lviv region, SBU counterintelligence officers exposed a Ukrainian recruited by Russian special services. The man planned to carry out reconnaissance and subversive activities against Ukraine.
