Ukrainians should warn about the impossibility of paying electricity bills.
If Ukrainians are unable to pay their electricity bills, they must warn service providers about this. If the debt grows and the consumer of electricity does not notify that he cannot pay, he will be disconnected from electricity. This decision was made by the National Commission for State Regulation in the Energy and Communal Services ( NKREKU ).
The resolution of the NEURC notes that electricity suppliers must carry out explanatory work among consumers:
- about the possibility of paying for electricity online,
- the need to transfer meter readings,
- the need to warn citizens about the impossibility of paying bills, otherwise they will be cut off from electricity.
If the consumer warns the supplier about the impossibility of paying for electricity, it will not be disconnected from electricity until martial law is in effect in the country and another 30 days after it is canceled. After 30 days from the date of termination of martial law, it is advisable to conclude a debt restructuring agreement and draw up a debt repayment schedule.
