Soon the European Union will introduce the sixth sanctions package against Russia, which has invaded Ukraine hostilely.
In this package of sanctions, the EU should spell out clear steps to block Russia’s energy revenues.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky spoke about this in his video message.
“In the near future, we are waiting for a new sanctions package from the European Union. This package should contain clear steps to block Russia’s income from energy resources. We strongly believe in this so that a billion euros are not transferred to the terrorist state every day for fossil fuels,” Zelensky said.
However, the President of Ukraine stressed that the EU should introduce new sanctions against Russia in order to completely block all export-import operations with the aggressor country.
“It is already worth preparing for the next sanctions steps. In any case, all export-import operations with Russia will have to be blocked. Because without this, Moscow will never understand that international law and peace in Europe must be respected,” Zelensky added.
We will remind, earlier Vladimir Zelensky said that he would not give back to Russia Ukrainian territories. The head of state stressed that until Putin changes his decision on the integrity of all of Ukraine, the war for Ukrainian borders will continue.
