The speaker of the Odesa OVA added that the teenager, who died yesterday as a result of rocket attacks in Odessa, was trying to save the elderly.
Odessa remains at high risk of air strikes.
This was announced by the speaker of the operational headquarters of the Odessa Regional Military Administration Sergey Bratchuk on the air of the information telethon.
“Today, our air defense forces shot down an enemy Forpost-type drone over Odessa. Its peculiarity is that it can not only conduct reconnaissance at an altitude of up to five kilometers, but also carry weapons. That is, it can attack one or another object and kill peaceful civilians,” Bratchuk said.
The speaker of the Odesa OVA noted that threats of new missile strikes on Odessa remain. After all, the Russian occupiers have no moral obstacles and do not take into account whether this is a civilian object or a military one. They shoot and kill civilians.
“The Russians are shooting and killing civilians. The shelling is carried out from the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea. It is from there that the enemy fires missiles from the Bastion complex. These are very powerful and fast missiles flying at a very low altitude. Sometimes it is difficult for our air defense forces to recognize them and in advance therefore, unfortunately, sometimes the air raid signal is heard a few seconds before the hit,” Bratchuk said.
The speaker of the Odesa OVA added that the teenager, who died yesterday as a result of rocket attacks in Odessa, was trying to save the elderly.
“He ran to notify residents who do not have the appropriate application on their mobile phones about the threat of shelling. As a result, he saved people, but, unfortunately, he died. Like a hero,” Bratchuk emphasized.
Recall that on May 2, due to the shelling of Odessa , a 13-year-old boy was killed and a 17-year-old girl was wounded , a rocket hit the hostel. There were no military facilities there.
