The head of EU diplomacy Josep Borrell said that the sixth package of EU sanctions against Russia will include an oil embargo, Russian banks and subjects of disinformation.
These sanctions against Russia will be submitted for approval by the Council of Europe.
Borrellannounced this on the Web on May 3.
“Russia’s unprovoked war against Ukraine affects global security,” he stressed.
“We are working on the 6th package of sanctions, which aims to disconnect more banks from SWIFT, will contain a list of subjects of disinformation and fight oil imports. These measures will be submitted to the Council for approval,” the head of European diplomacy said in a statement.
Recall, according to foreign media, the largest bank in Russia, Sberbank, will also be included in the sanctions list, which will be disconnected from SWIFT.
