The Prime Minister of Poland stressed that the work of Ukrainians now living in the country can be a great added value in the Polish economy.
100,000 Ukrainian refugees have already found official work in Poland. Now Poland is experiencing the lowest unemployment rate in the last 30 years.
This was announced by Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki, writes polskieradio24.pl.
He stressed that the help of Ukrainians can be of great importance in the economy of Poland.
According to him, during meetings with Polish entrepreneurs, their first phrase usually sounds like this: we need “hands and heads for work.”
“Therefore, the work of Ukrainians living in Poland can be a great added value in our economy,” he said.
According to Morawiecki, more than 2.5 million refugees stopped in Poland. Together with Ukrainians who previously worked in the country, the figure was more than 3.5 million.
“But the most important thing: remember that the defense of Ukraine is the defense of Poland.” On these frontiers, the Ukrainians are fighting for us. We are indebted to them. Therefore, I am glad that almost all Poles accepted refugees with an open heart according to the principle: a guest in the house is God in the house,” the prime minister said.
He also denied the information that Ukrainians have better access to many public services – in education, health care or the labor market than the Poles. Russia is actively spreading false information about Ukrainians in Poland in order to turn the Poles against it.
Recall that the Polish province provided 3 million zloty to support internally displaced persons in the Lviv region.
